This was a great small group tour, with a total of 6 to 8 people, plus driver and guide. It was a really good way to see the Forbidden City and some other highlights of Beijing, as well as the chance to spend a couple of hours walking on the Great Wall, at a very reasonable cost. I would highly recommend it as a cost-effective and enjoyable way to spend a couple of days in the capital.

This tour is a good way to see many of the sights that Beijing has to offer. Included in the tour are visits to the pearl and jade factory shops, I felt this was not worthwhile and we had to stay for a certain amount of time, even when everyone had completed their purchases we still had to hang around, it was a waste of time, this time could be better spent on one of the bigger attractions. Not too much to see at the Underground Palace, instead more time at the Great Wall would be a better option. The tour is run efficiently and on time, expect an early start but you get to see some amazing sights.

The Wall was on my bucket list and this tour did not disappoint! Must see! Spectacular sight. Our tour guide Lee was great! We did not realize the cost of the cable car up to the wall was not included and found out sort of last minute. They do not take credit cards so be sure you have some cash with you...it's about 120 in the local currency. The other parts of the tour were amazing including the Forbidden City and the Temple. Overall awesome experiences!!!

Good tour that gets you to where you want to be. Day 1 in Beijing was great, Day 2 to the Great Wall was interesting. The lunch on Day 2 was forgettable and the sales pitches at the tea company late upon return to Beijing I could have done without.

We had Tina as our tour guide and she was amazing at her job. She would let us know beforehand in the bus the historical significance of every place that we visited. Very enthusiastic and passionate. The bus even took a small detour for me so that I could be dropped at the Bird's Nest stadium and roam around. Highly recommended!!.... P.S: The foot massage is sooo gooooood! :

The guides spoke broken English- it was hard to understand. Some of the "tourist traps" are totally unnecessary and could be eliminated to give more time at the highlights such as the Great Wall. It was nice to have lunch included. I just wish I had more time to see what I came to China to see.

The first day of the tour was lovely, YoYo took great care of us and negotiated some great deals for us at the shopping stops. Lunch was also nice and the travelers with us congenial. YoYo's English was understandable and she had a great sense of humor. If I could rate the two days separately, the first day would have 5 stars. The second day was a disaster. Walter or whatever his name was, had knowledge, but his English was so poor, the group was at a loss to understand what he was saying and he spoke so fast and walked so fast, no one could keep up with him. There were several of us with knee and leg problems and he did nothing to accommodate us. Likewise, the majority of the group wanted vegetarian and gluten free, leaving those of us who crave protein at a complete loss, when complaint was made, he argued and was rude. The trip to Ming Tombs is useless for non-nationals, you race down 8 flights of stairs to see three red painted metal boxes and three marble chairs that were to be used in the afterlife, then back up 6 flights, racing across a land area. Exhausting and painful. Arriving at the Great Wall, we were dropped off at the bottom of a rather tough incline, not taken to the base entry point which could have saved a lot of wear and tear plus huffing and puffing. No accompaniment on the wall, two hours to roam, which was fine, then hurry back. This man received no tips and no one was happy by the end of the trip.

Generally, it was a nice but definitely not great tour. The first of the two days included the Beijing city tour Forbidden city etc., while the second included the Great Wall Mutianyu and the Ming Tombs. So, first day trip was generally mediocre. The tour guide was passionate, however, his English was not understandable. He made a good effort to explain things, but unfortunately it was not fully possible at least for me. The tour purpose was to take just a taste from the main monuments, because the actual time spent at each was limited. In my opinion, except from the Summer Palace, which was a great place but also the furthest, all the others can be done individually by any traveler without the need of a tour guide. In this case, you could use the metro and spend as much time as you want in each one. Also, the lunch was typical chinese lazy Suzan type, but plain. Nothing special. Second day was way better, though. The new guide spoke way better English, so we could follow her. The visit to the Ming Tombs was very quick and I think that didn't offer practically something to the whole experience. Of course, we didn't go through the Spirit way and we just saw quickly the interior of one of the tombs interesting though.... The time at the Great Wall, was the best part of the whole tour. We had almost 2 and 1/2 hours to walk across the wall, which was impressive enough. Keep in mind that, because of the limited time that you have, practically you are forced to take the cable car to go up and down 120 RMB. Or else, you can go up by the cable car 100 RMB and go down by the toboggan 100 RMB. It is more expensive but way more fun! Chinese food for lunch was better, than the previous day! Consequently, if the tour organizers leave out the unnecessary tourist-traps like the so-called chinese medicine, pearl factory, jade factory etc., I think that the experience will be enhanced, because you will simply have more time to spend on the important things!

This is not the usual city tour, I would say is mora a transportation tour with minimum explanations. You will run with almost not time to take pictures at Forbiden City and then you will be taken to an Hospital of chinise medicine to for massage for exrtra charge, plus free check up for a doctor, who will prescribe medicines for about 200...you waisted one hour there, later you will be taken to a pearl factory, where will try to sell you pearls, one hour waisted, from there there is not time and nor explanation to the sumer palace, you will see it for a mile distance, if you want to get there, you may need to go back to the hotel by yourself. God tour to the wall, but in the way you will be taken to a Jade factorty and Tea factory, where will try to sell you from stones to tea. At the Temple of Heaven, instead explanations from the guide...free time for pictures.
