Amazing! Highly recommended! Serena and Helen were excellent guides! We also definitely appreciated Helen's additional stories and historical footnotes you wont otherwise hear about with other groups/guides! The team are very accommodating and cognizant of our interest with respect to making sure we are still able to get the full value and best of the itineraries. We felt the tours were very personal and the guides were knowledgeable and answered our questions.

Our tour guide Angie gave us some amazing information on the areas that we had decided to visit. She even went out of her way to help us with translating, great restaurants and even showing us at our hotel how to get help to do our laundry! Overall amazing experience and would love to do again!

This is the best tour to take if you have 3 days to spare in Beijing. Our tour guide was Maria. Wonderful person. Always on time for hotel pickup. Smiling face. Polite and Friendly. Our tour was organised as per our wishes. We were not hurried anywhere. We wanted to spend more time at the Great Wall with my elderly parents and my infant daughter. She took us to both Huanghuacheng and Mutianyu Great Wall. Walking was kept at a minimum as per our wishes. We did not feel tired at all. She organised a great restaurant for lunch and we felt like we were having picnic at the Great Wall. What a view from the restaurant. Next day we had a great boat ride and walk in Summer Palace and also spent time in Confucius temple. On our last day we saw the Grand Theatre. FInally my mom was overjoyed as Maria took her around all the right places and made sure all the items on her shopping wish list were fulfilled. Thank you Maria for taking such great care of my family.

We were thrilled with our experience with this tour. If you find the detailed information about the tour and destinations helpful, please leave a helpful vote so others can find this easily as well. We were a bit hesitant to book this onedue to the newness of the option, but it was so flexible we were able to choose all of our Must Dos as well as fit in some additional sights. The tour company themselves were great to work with. There were some differences between what we were trying to book and our first itinerary, however with one email it was changed within 30 minutes. They were incredibly responsive and accommodating. Our tour guide was Maria. She was great. Her English was excellent, she was on time every day and very personable. I think we might have liked a bit more information about some of the history of some of the locations. Not just when it was built, but also what part the places had in history and what important events occurred there. Maybe there werent any at the places we chose, but or future tours, that is only thing our family can come up with that would add to the experience. We had two different drivers and both were very good. We felt safe and well taken care of for the entire tour. The driver went out of his way to get us close to most of the sites. The guide/driver/tour company had to make a few changes to the original itinerary to accommodate some international dignitary meetings that were occurring in Beijing. Several of the roads were blocked off at certain times of the day, so they adapted and routed us around those so we didnt miss anything or waste too much time sitting in traffic. I dont think you will get a better tour anywhere. Following are the details of our particular tour.. but again, its very flexible, so you dont have to follow this format. Day 1 Ming Tombs and Scared Way/Lunch/Mutianyu section of the Great Wall The GW was supposed to be first, but the road was blocked so we went to the Ming Tombs and SW to start. The SW was beautiful and worth choosing this option on the tour. Lots of lovely photo opportunities. The Ming Tomb Dingling is the only one open was unremarkable. Since we were there, I suppose it was with saying we've been there, but I wouldn't ever recommend making it a priority. I'd still pick this option just for the Sacred Way. We had lunch at Home of the Great Wall. It was delicious. The rice was as expensive as the main, but overall a great value when you factor in the view. Mutianyu - Wear good shoes, bring water, an umbrella for shade if you can, sun screen, hats and snacks. There are snacks and foot at the entrance, but they are well over reasonably exorbitant... like 8 for a scoop of ice cream. Be sure to get the chair lift up and toboggan ride down. WELL worth the money and really fun. Once at the wall you can go right or left. Apparently going left is easier and flatter.. and you can go further. We chose to go right which was more exciting with the best views. We all made it up to the top/end.. station 1. There were pretty flat sections but a few really steep sections as well. My fit bit said it was 70 flights. My 7 year old was ok with some breaks.. and I needed the breaks first .. ha! I didn't ever go to other side, but we would do the section we did again in a heartbeat. It was amazing. We went on the next to last week of May. Although there were other people on the wall, we had no problems getting plenty of pics with no one else in them. Maria went up a couple of stations with us and then let us go the rest of the way on our own. Although I know there was a preference to get back to the car and get on our way to avoid rush hour, Maria was patient while we looked at souvenirs and take some additional pictures. Day 2 - Again due to some road closures we changed up our itinerary to avoid delays and make the most of our time. We went to the Forbidden City, Panda House at the Beijing Zoo, Summer Place, then Tian'anmen Square. The Forbidden City - BY FAR the most crowded place we went. Really, it was crazy getting in. Maria was able to get us through the line and security in one piece and once we were inside it opened up tolerable levels again. The FC is interesting but kind of stark with no trees and little shade. You aren't allowed into a good portion of it, and what you can get to, you aren't allowed inside. I think it's worth seeing once for sure. NOTE FOR PARENTS - keep an eye on your kids, especially if they are fair or have something other than brown eyes. At the end of the day I don't think anyone meantbe threatening or anything like that, however MANY times probably 10, which is a lot when it's freaking you out people would just grab Alex and pull him away to take a picture with him.At first Alex was scared as the people didn't askfirst. After Maria explained that some of the people from the more remote places in China would never see a foreig
