This would have been a great way to get around the city, but the bus drivers were fighting, they drove terribly (I think that may be how you drive in Shanggai but they were worse than taxi drivers) they chuckled and laughed at us when they gave us our original tickets. Should’ve bkd a pvt tour.

Buses on all three lines ran frequently. Buses on each line red, green and blue were timed to make connections to buses waiting at the next line. Lots of very friendly and helpful staff.

This is a great way to get around Shanghai but because of traffic, the commentary is always out of sync, also we have to wait quite a while for the bus to come especially during rush hour traffic. If you have a few days in Shanghai the metro is a great option, very easy to use and you can buy multi day tickets which are very good value.

We enjoyed Shanghai Tour in Hop -on Hop-off bus taking 2 days Premium ticket. Huangpu River Cruise in the evening at 5pm was most enjoyable part, we could see the city during the day as well as starlight, it was just mesmerizing! Bund experience was also good. Jinmao Tower , we had a fascinating view from 88nd floor. We enjoyed Jade Buddah temple and excellent shopping there. It was awesome trip! Only sometimes wait for bus was too long, if you have missed one, so plan accordingly.

When We went looking for the hop on hop off bus it wasn't available. Heard it was bankrupt and not in business. Never saw a bus remotely appearing to be this bus

The bus tours are what they are: a great way to get around the city and learn a little bit. Always worth the money. But bring a jacket, most are open tops even in November!

I had an absolute horrible experience. I had a 48 hour pass for the bus trip. After the first day I was cleaning out my purse and accidently threw away by receipt that was given to me after I presented my vochuer it looks like a receipt from buying something. I still had my vochur and confirmation email. On the second day, I explained how I accidently threw my vochuer away. The guy pulls out his phone and asked for my vochuer. The picture he showed was actually MY vochuer they took a picture of with my name, start date, and all details. I showed him my passport, my vochure, and confirmation copy. He went on to say he would not issues me a new pass it was very easy for them to print this. I told him I didnt need the extras that come with the tour but just to be able to ride the bus and he refused and said I was irresponsible for losing my receipt. Therefore, I lost out a day of riding the bus. Aside from this, on day one, the tour started at 930, but no one showed up for 40 minutes 10:10. Many of the stops were walkable. It's almost better to walk it because the bus comes every 20 minutes, so you spend a lot of time waiting for the bus when you can easily walk to the next stop quicker. I did not have a great experience with this tour. I've done the bus tour in other cities, where I think they are need further distances between stops.

There are two hop on hop off companies and this one sold here is the Big Bus. My issue was that it seemed there weren't enough buses going around and I found the other bus company had more buses. Otherwise the hop on hop off bus is fine and did go to all the major stops conveniently.
