We went for lunch using a Virgin Experience voucher for a three course meal with cocktail. We paid extra for side dishes, coffee and tea (fresh mint). Found the food and service excellent. Look forward to going again without voucher as Lunch Menu looked very inviting.

Awesome food great experience too. This was on a voucher experience with virgin and we was treated exactly the same way as everyone else. It comes down to how you treat them. If you are an abrupt person then don't go here. Alex who served us was an awesome waiter and answered my questions I ask. Thank you Alex and thank you to all at London steakhouse . We will be back soon. P.s food was cooked exactly how we like it thank you to the chef's 😊

From the outside you would walk by. Most if not everyone there on fixed price menu linked to a day out red letter experience. All sides were £5.50 which were not included in the 3 course menu. Staff attentive, wine list ridiculously over priced. We chose a nice Oz Shiraz which in supermarket would be £7/8 but here it was £38.00. Many wines were £100.00 Or more. Service charge was added at 15% which I failed to notice and was not pointed out and tipped another £10. Bit naughty. So a prepaid fixed menu cost £78.00 once wine sides and sauces added . Enjoyable but would not return.

Got this as a gift but I wish we hadn't. My wife's fishcake as a starter was unpleasant. We both ordered steak for our mains. Both steaks were lukewarm and tasteless. You have to pay £6 for extra chips, which weren't anything to write home about. My dessert of sticky toffee pudding was nice but my wife's chocolate cake was too bitter. Overall, this was not an enjoyable meal. The service was very good, which made it hard to complain. For a £70 meal, this place is robbing its customers!

We were very disappointed they did not cater for halal food. This was given to us as a wedding gift & were told they cater for halal meat with 72 hrs notice. In a city like London where halal meat is available this is disappointing. This would not be my 1st choice. The waiter was seemingly attentive which made up for it. The fish cake was basic with seasoning with a spinach at the bottom in a creamy sauce. The dessert & starter was better than main but this was expected given we were eating vegetarian alternatives at a steak place. The sticky toffee pudding & cheesecake made up for not having any meat. It’s a real shame they do not cater for Muslims.

Average. Definitely overpriced for what you get. Some of the staff were quite attentive. for me the 8oz rump steak was not very nice nor tasty, I got some chunky chips with it which weren't tasty either (not sure how you can get chips wrong?) The onion rings were nice. Desert was the definitely best part, the vanilla cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding were so delicious. Nonetheless, I most definitely wouldn't waste my time returning.

We enjoyed a very nice steak and beef wellington. Couldn't fault the service or the food, but you get what you pay for and you can expect to pay £40 per head + drinks. We also had one of their in-house cocktails. The Captain White was very nice indeed and the Passion Jazz was good too. We had this as part of a Virgin Experience, which combined with a trip to The Shard. All in all a very good day and can recommend the Steakhouse as a good place to eat if you're on a bigger budget! Enjoy!

Got the chance to go to this great restaurant as part of a Virgin Experience. It was so easy to get to, straight on the mainline to Liverpool Street then a quick walk and as it's warm, it was quite pleasant. Got there an hour early but the Maitre D was very accommodating and seated us very quickly. Our meal was well presented, portions were ample and the food itself was delicious. The service was excellent and our server, a young lady called Martina, was a delight. The restaurant decor was a mix of classic & contemporary and very clean, especially the toilets. Myself & my husband thoroughly enjoyed the evening and would highly recommend it

Went for the Virgin Experience. The atmosphere of the restaurant is really nice, clean white tablecloths, inviting lighting. Starters were excellent (particularly the beef short ribs), and the cocktails were pleasant. There was a good selection of wines at a variety of prices and volumes (including carafes) which was nice. However - we ordered the porterhouse to share, and it was quite disappointing. The char on the outside was too black, leaving quite an ashy taste in the mouth. As well as this, the inside of the steak, especially by the bone, was raw as opposed to medium rare. This suggested it had been cooked quickly at a high temperature, instead of slightly slower and longer to build a better, even crust and bring the internal temperature of the meat up even close to the bone. For a specialty premium steak restaurant, this was disappointing. Dessert was enjoyable, but considering the price point (albeit we were there with a voucher) there are considerably better steak houses in London. Hawksmoor for example is a 5 minute walk away...

I booked the Virgin Experience day for my girlfriends birthday. When i called up to book it i made them aware it was her birthday and that she couldn't have dairy or egg. When we arrived we very seated very quickly and everything was great. Unfortunately they failed to let us know when ordering cocktails that they those particular cocktails weren't included in our experience. I thought this was a bit cheeky. Once we had ordered we both had a short rib (hers dairy free) and it was the most amazing dish i think either of us have tasted, perfect would be an understatement. For main my partner had the rump steak with chips and asked for it Medium-Well. Half the steak was perfect however the rest wasn't and when we told the waiter he didn't do anything to change it, he just apologised. I felt like for such a high end restaurant i would expect a little more, maybe it's just me...Also for dessert all they could offer my partner was sorbet which as you can imagine gets boring after a while. Again maybe my expectations were high but i expected more. My only other negative point was how quiet the staff spoke, i understand the environment but it was extremely difficult to hear certain waiters. All that aside it was an amazing experience and would recommend the virgin experience day to anyone just remember to ask about the cocktails included otherwise you get stuck with a £23 bill for them...
