I don't want to say its a tourist trap b/c they actually do have decent food and service, along with nice view. We went there for late night dinner slot (7:00pm) which ended up with a nice view of sunset. After the dinner, you're free to roam around the first level of Eiffel Tower and it almost felt like our private place b/c it was late at night. There was almost no one left on the level. We did enjoy the food and view without having to push and shove.

Service at the table- was atrocious. You get better service at McDonald's. There is no customer friendly service. Waiter's like robots just changing plates. Not interested in customer. No wine waiter, that means waiters just overloaded with serving food. We had to wait for 8 minutes for our red wine after the main course was served (which was served already warm-not hot) eventually I had to go to the bar to ask for wine and just been told your waiter is there. Photographer - sorry but pictures I've made with my phone look much more professional. Just giving someone a good equipment doesn't mean anything. Flash is reflected in the background, all pictures in portrait mode, so no background of trocadero was visible, also lights from the cars outside were tailgated. Food - food was amazing, my complements to your chief, but as mentioned before, the main course was ruined by waiter's serving when it was just warm already plus waiting for the wine

It’d be beneficial to have another tier of pricing. There should be one price to sit directly by the window, one to sit close to the window, and one not by the windows. We paid to sit directly next to the window but were instead sat next to a couple that sat directly next to the window. May not sound like a huge deal, but when you pay to sit by the window, you’d expect to sit directly next to it. It was only based on the order we got off the elevator, which doesn’t make sense.

We visited Paris June of last year. We saw the Eiffel Tower several times up close and from different parts of the city. Dining at the 58 Tour Eiffel Restaurant was a must for the Hubby and I. We knew it would be very "touristy" so unlike the other reviewers who expected otherwise, we actually just went with the flow and enjoyed the visit. They do have seating times which is why people feel rushed. The time we had for lunch was more than enough for us to have quality time together and enjoy the views and food. The food we had was good & well seasoned. Our seafood was perfectly cooked. The views are just spectacular. The facilities could use some updating and maybe more stalls as there was quite a line for both men and women. When you travel, especially to iconic places such as this, you have to learn to shut off the noise and other distractions so you enjoy the places you visit otherwise one will be forever disappointed. Just a thought. The reason for my 4 stars as always is this was my first visit.

The restaurant is very expensive and the quality of the food is very very low. It is more a rush than a great and fine dining. We had a reservation at 18:30 and about 20:00 we were more or less asked to leave the place. There are some guy around taking photos of guests. Before leaving the place, you are indirectly forced to buy the photo for 20€ and you're receiving advertisement for this service and online shops even a few days later. Never again. Save the 300€ and buy some 5€ snack...

Restaurant 58 last night was probably one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. We had an amazing waiter which unfortunately we did not get the name off who recommended us dishes which we had not originally picked but which were superb. Food was beautiful with very generous servings. The setting was perfect. Cosy and intimate. Only downfall of the experience was waiting in queues to get there but overall was worth the wait.

The experience of being up on the Eiffel Tower including dedicated lines that move you through much faster than otherwise make this a must go to restaurant. As noted in many reviews the food isn’t that good and they are moving things along for a second seating. But the service is very nice and professional staff were friendly. They have a full bar and the ticket includes one beer or wine with the price. The view was to die for and the kids loved the experience of dining in the Eiffel Tower. As long as you aren’t coming for the food (who really is) you will not be disappointed!

If you want to go to the tour Eiffel, book for lunch at this restaurant. Skip the regular line, shortcut to security, get up in an special elevator, seat with a great view over the Seine and have a great lunch with wine. After that visit the first floor, stroll around and take your time. All in all a good touristy experience.

I think this place is targeting rich people. 85 Euros for "dinner" is waaaaay too expensive. I don't care that you sit way up there and has a nice view. I just don't see a value in it. Portions are very small. The size of a salmon served as main course was smaller than an appetizer, no really. However it did taste good. O, I forgot, you do get a glass of champagne as a welcome treat. Service was attentive.
