Our tour guide Susan was amazing great information on history and kept the group together well and informed on travel directions. Bad weather but it couldn't be helped.

Thoroughly recommend this day trip from Munich. And it was nice that we went by train, rather than a bus.

The tour itself was good, but we didn’t get a good day to go on the tour—it was raining then snowing and bitterly cold. On our free time we couldn’t be bothered to look around. We just wanted to get dry and warm. Despite the weather there were still tons of people around.

We had a great time. Lucia our guide was FABULOUS! Great way to see Salzburg and very economical compared to doing it on your own.

Things I appreciated: A quick tour -- and I mean blistering fast -- of various sights around Salzburg. Although I wasn't able to hear the guide most of the time, I was able to become oriented to the city so I knew where I wanted to go with my free time. I liked getting a sense for which train to catch and which bus to take - because although I liked this tour, it wasn't enough to really enjoy Salzburg. I returned the following weekend armed with the knowledge of how to get there, the city layout, and what I wanted to see. As an aside, our tour guide kind of downplayed the Fortress. I understand why - it's a hike and it would probably consume all of the free time you have in the city on this tour. But it's a must see. When I returned to Salzburg the following week, I thought it was incredible. Especially the platform atop the parapet that gives a view of the city. It was the highlight of the entire trip. Things I did not appreciate: Being left behind. I knew we had a quick stop tour guide's words at the Mirabel Palace, but I walked away from the group to get a better picture and when I turned around, they were gone. I didn't dally or dawdle, I just walked closer to the steps. I had my back turned for one minute no exaggeration. There wasn't a hey we're leaving now or we're here for 30 seconds only message - they were just gone. I ran around literally trying to find them and was fortunate to just catch the tail end of someone I recognized going around a corner about an eighth of a mile away. They had already disappeared around one corner and if I hadn't seen the other person, it would have been two - and that's hard to track.

Well organized and easy travel both ways. Oreintation to Salzburg short but sweet. Provided enough information to make good use of considerable free time. Not much of a sound of music tour if that's what one is looking to do
