Loved Budapest and this walking tour was a great way to see some of its many highlights assisted by an excellent guide. The two standouts were the area around Heroes' Square that included a castle, monuments, park and thermal baths. The other standout was Fisherman's Bastion on Castle Hill at the other end of Andrassy Avenue. This would have been about an hours walk, but due to time constraints we took the historic underground train which was included in the tour price. Fisherman's Bastion has great views over the city that includes Parliament House. Other interesting things we did on the tour was a visit to St Stephens' Basilica, a walk across the Chain Bridge and some time out at a coffee shop for a drink and some pastries that were also included in the price.

This is a really good tour. You do do a lot of walking but at a steady pace. Our guide was excellent and full of information. Book this tour for the first morning in the city then you can go back and revisit to see inside some of the cities.

The tour was wonderful! Our guide George did a great job teaching us about beautiful Budapest and all its interesting history! It was chilly but we had such a great time that it was worth it ! George even stayed a little longer on our tour just to teach us more interesting facts. Awesome tour!

Great, great experience. George kept us completely engaged the whole time. Had a great time learning so much about the history of Budapest. Enjoyed taking metro twice, sit down in restaurant for great variety of strudels.

Viki was our guide on the walking tour and she was excellent. She explained the history of Budapest, we took the Metro to different areas, had the best strudel and it was a great introduction to a magnificent city. Thank you Viki!

Balint, our guide from Absolute tours, was great. Small collegial group of nine people walked for four hours through Budapest. Balint's knowledge and insights outstanding. He had a great sense of humour and was very accommodating, in that he added things to our tour based on our interests. Start point very easy to find as it was behind the Opera House. Thank you!
