Fantastic, worth the walk or taxi ride.

Excellent food and great wine choice!

Just came back from dinner at this little gem of a restaurant. There is a great selection of home made pasta dishes, risotto, steaks, and platters. I ordered the home made spinach gnocchi with porcini mushrooms, tomatoes and bacon whilst my partner opted for the vegetarian risotto with black cabbage (Tuscan kale), blue cheese and beans. Both our meals were well presented and the wines we chose were both full bodied and delicious. Dessert was a melt in your mouth spiced pear, sautéed in red wine served with vanilla gelato. Our waiter, who had been living previously for one year in Australia, was really attentive and helpful in explaining some of the dishes on the menu. Our accommodation was located around the corner but even for those who are located further away I would definitely recommend making the walk or journey as it is really a great place despite being off the beaten track. The atmosphere and design is also beautiful- rustic and open plan with lots of space and privacy for couples and larger groups.

Very good food, superb atmosphere, great service, moderate prices. Thousands of bottles of wine on the shelves are impressive! And one more important thing: distant from main tourist paths, make it additionally interesting.

AMAZING!!!!! Beautiful dining room with wine display to the tall ceilings. Modern and rustic feel. Owner Simone is warm and friendly. We ate a stunning steak cooked perfectly. This is the place to eat. Positioned right outside center of Florence so you can find decent parking! They also do wine classes and chef tours!!!
