Overall very good. Location very close to Vatican. Pasta is very fresh and tasty, service was good and wine selection is good. Only compliant we had was that there was bits of mussle shells in my wifes risotto because they put cracked mussels in it. A little bit more attention to that and they would have made 5 star.

This is not a good place to stop by.. i suggest to keep lookig for a better option... the taste of the food is not good enought to recoment .. if you dont have to much time go for it.. but if you are interested on the real Italian food, this is not for sure the place.

Clearly made for tourists. If you are looking for a good place to eat look elsewhere..... It is a place to get a quick bite and that's it. The pizza was just a cheap imitation of what is offered here in Italy. The service not the friendliest. They will lure you in warm and then quickly and some may take it as coldly serve you until they wait for you so that they can free up your table. STAY AWAY!

We stopped to look at the menu and the man out front acknowledged us but gave no pressure to come in and dine, so I was sold! We started with the lasagne which was fantastic. It was full of cheese and a rich meat sauce. I ordered the meatballs and potato and my husband ordered the steak. My dish would have been better rounded out had it included a salad, but the tomato sauce was excellent and the potatoes were tasty. The steak was cooked perfectly but it required seasoning. Salt and pepper in the meat makes all the difference. Overall, it was a good meal. I would also like to say the service was great!

Comimos muy bien. El precio es moderado. La atención muy buena... solo que tuvimos que esperar mucho para que traigan los platos, pero se justifica porque éramos miles saliendo de plaza san pedro y queriendo comer al mismo tiempo...

Food was mediocre, as was the service. It's cheap though, in a touristy area, so there's that. €5 for a half litre of house wine, €8- €10 for most pastas.

The food was so terrible. Don't be deceived by the cheaper prices. Both of us had to throw out ¾ of our meals. My spaghetti and prawns were prepared using canned tomato sauce (I noticed the cans and cans they had piled up in the back when I walked to the bar in the back to pay) and the prawns mostly intact yet some of them had been smashed up and their shells and legs were all throughout the pasta. It was inedible. All of this isn't even mentioning one of the employee used the bathroom and did not wash his hands. Instead, he walked out of the stall, grabbed paper towels, and walked out of the bathroom. I guess they don't have health codes.

Ciao is tourist oriented restaurant that is competitively priced, despite being in the shadow of the Vatican, where prices often double. You'll be served promptly, but not encouraged to leave - they allow you to enjoy the sights, and of course, the tastes and smells.

Estivemos na Trattoria Ciao para jantar. Fomos muito bem atendidos, com simpatia. Escolhemos massas que são feitas pelo restaurante e estavam muito gostosas. Recomendo!
