Best time of the year to plan your trip to Madrid is in the autumn or spring, when temperature is mild and the lines for attractions are not that long. You can also visit in winter when accomodadtion prices decrease. It is better to avoid visiting in summer. It is peak tourist season, the heat weather is unbearable and local shops are mostly closed.
