Yerevan Brandy Company, also commonly known as “Ararat”, is a major company in Armenia, producing the traditional cognac, Armenian brandy. The bandy, which is produced in Ararat company is famous all over the world. It is made from grapes of the fertile fields of the Ararat plain.
Ararat was found in 1887 and has been the leading alcohol producing factory since then.
The Company is situated in the western end of the Victory Bridge of Yerevan. Besides the factory itself, the complex includes also "Ararat Heritage Center Museum and Shop", which sales original brandy and souvenirs, as Armenian symbols. The building is located on a high point and provides a great view at night.

    On their website they claim reservation can be done via email. But when I emailed them, they did not reply. That's pretty frustrating.

    Could not forget the taste of Ararat Brandy. affordable price too. we went there by walking from Yerevan center.

    The only cognac manufactured outside of France, per decree from Napolean. Slight charge for the tour, but well worth it. You get to compare 5, 10 and 15 year old cognacs at the end-of-tour tasting room. Delightful!

    Good factory where you can get traditional Armenian brandy, made of grapes. There is a museum inside where are shown the process of making brandy. Nice and pleasant atmosphere

    It was a very entertaining tour. Try to get the 3 variety tasting. Or just get the cheaper tasting and buy the others in bottle
