Um lugar fantástico e realmente mágico. Extremamente bem cuidado e conservado, oferece cultura a um preço acessível. Espetáculos da orquestra municipal se destacam pelo grande talento que demonstram ao tocar com convidados, em especial a grande Valentina Lisitsa. Se você procura um bom lugar para se divertir e se emocionar, acabou de achar! Um dos melhores lugares de toda a cidade de São Paulo.

I only can give one star as the place in front of the theatre is full of homeless people. You feel very unconfortable in between. I can't understand the city Sao Paulo how they don't do anything against that Problem - it ruins the city. Actually 95% of the people in the center are homeless , either you climb over garbage sacks or homeless. Worst city on earth! Whatever you do don't go to Sao Paulo and if you are the lucky one and can't avoid it then only make a trip to Beco de Batman as this place is the nicest and cleanest of Sao Paulo.

Nice historic building in the old downtown of São Paulo. Really nice spectacles, I went there for an opera with the Orquestra Municipal de São Paulo.

One of the best theatres in SP. An important architectural landmark from early 1900's with more than 1500 seats. Is a project signed by Ramos de Azevedo. It's run by the city and offers a selection of good quality performing arts productions at affordable ticket prices.

Lindo! Vale a pena a visita e fazer a visita guiada também! Bem conservado e cheio de detalhes! Ótimo para assistir eventos de noite, fica próximo ao metrô Anhangabaú. Os ingressos em geral são baratos, há inclusive alguns eventos gratuitos. Para fazer a visita guiada, é só chegar uma hora antes para se inscrever, nos dias e horários que tem (acho que é de quarta a sábado). Tem um restaurante e os banheiros são limpos.

Gorgeous building with lovely shows, HOWEVER, the location is in a very dangerous and bum-infested area...all the parking around the building is 30 reis...and staff put lasers in your face if you're phone light shows at all...also, if you sit upstairs in the gallery/balcony- you'll want your money back. You won't be able to see all the stage or orchestra! Many people were complaining about not being able to see anything (people were standing to watch! and the chairs are so creaky) so after intermission, half of the audience upstairs left. What a shame. At least we saw the beautiful chandelier lol I only suggest visiting here if you have an uber and good seats.

Very beautiful building. There is guided tour in English and in Portuguese which lasted for about 1.5 hour. When we visited in April, the inside theater section (stage & seating) was closed and we could only visit the halls. So we felt the tour was a bit too long for it's worth. It's a nice visit, nonetheless.

One of the best places to visit in São Paulo. The guided tour is offered in Portuguese and English. It gives you insight into the city history and development.

What a city huh? Well this spot is the special one cause it sports the old parts of the city. Some buildings have lights for decoration, the people arround including the Hobos is what makes this part of the city alive and what it is. If you go here, just watch your back and be smart. Its beautifull and good at night, but also has its shares of bad guys and looters

Gorgeous building with a very interesting history!! However we turned up for the free English tour which is meant to be on Friday's at 11am but they decided they weren't doing one that day... and we had a group of 9 who had planned to go especially. They said next time we should have called in advance, so that would be my tip! Also when they have rehearsals on it's not possible to view the auditorium. Lunch at the restaurant downstairs was delicious, a very generous banquet of traditional Brazilian food with a surprise opera performance in the entrance of the theatro - quite the treat :)

Arquitetura maravilhosa, apresentações de qualidade e um café lindamente decorado e que serve refeições do Santinho na semana. Para completar um bar no porão onde promove festas. Encantador!
