Luxembourg Gardens

Rue de Vaugirard, Boulevard St. Michel, Rue Auguste-Comte and Rue Guynemer, Paris

(27 157)

The Luxembourg Gardens is a landscaped park. It is a recreational and relaxation area. The place is overgrown with trees, boasting walkways, lush greenery and outstanding works of art everywhere.

The park comprises French and English style gardens and has many works of art (fountains, sculptures, grottoes...) and floral and herbal arrangements. The place is tranquil, offering respite of the city and its traffic in a verdant environment.

The Luxembourg Gardens are ideal both for the children and the adults. Children can entertain themselves in a number of ways, including riding the city’s oldest carousel, sailing small boats or attending a puppet show. The adults can relax in a beautiful setting and observe works of art.

The place is especially beautiful in summer, with the verdant greenery, and in autumn, when warm colors are prevalent.

The Luxembourg Gardens are near the center of Paris. They are open from early hours until evening. You can find the gardens next to the Pantheon, in the vicinity of the Latin Quarter.

Beautiful gardens. Lovely place for a Winter's day walk. If you're lucky the fountain will be frozen into full shapes.

Love to take a burrito at chipotle next door and come over here to eat it, perfect! We visited this palace in October, though it was not open to go inside the palace that day, but we took a round around it and the beautiful gardens surrounding this palace. After walking the whole day we just sat in the gardens in a relaxing beach chair, lots of free chairs are there, and had amazing view of palace across the pond in front of it. It was really and amazing view and very relaxing. Also don't forget to take a walk around the garden, its really beautiful as well.

One of my favorite places when visiting Paris. Great place to pass time whether you like to run or just people watch. Near Latin quarter and with great facilities. If you are just visiting, drop by a local shop to get some french food for a picnic!

Best playground for kids but you have to pay to get in. Mornings are best for small kids as it's ridiculously crowded on weekend afternoons. The remainder of the park is a nice walk or sit and watch experience. Otherwise montsouris is better for relaxing in the shade and grass with or without kids. At Luxembourg you are never allowed on lawns.

The magnificent palace and the beauty surrounding it, is a must visit for tourists! If you're looking forward to spend some peaceful hours in a garden, then you must visit this site. The fountains and statues around the Palace also add extra attention to this place and its free too. I don't even mind to spend an afternoon in a rainy day in this garden! :)

Iconic park in the centre of the capital. It traces the history of the city as Royalty shaped the town with what were originally grandiose gardens. The kiosks, water pool, tennis courts... Nevertheless show how urban bourgeois Parisian life reclaimed and appropriated the location. It's a testimony to the traditional Parisian culture. A pool of quietness in the centre of the bustling city where you must stop to allow your mind to rest and travel in time while exploring the city of lights.

Lovely place to go and spend some free time. People come here for spending leisure time, you can see kids playing with artificial boats in small fountain at the center. Several courts are also available to play some games. Garden is beautiful and the fact that it is exactly opposite to a nice government building makes it even more beautiful. Lots of open area available to have a home made family lunch. Entry is free.

Really great park, especially in the summer. So many different things to do, so easy for everyone to find something to suit their taste! The open landscape is beautiful and the flowers are regularly replanted for color.
