Sea Life Kelly Tarlton's Aquarium

23 Tamaki Dr, Auckland

Kelly Tarlton's Sea Life Aquarium is a public aquarium in Auckland. The attraction was founded in 1985. The aquarium used a new type of acrylic shaping having curved tunnels. The place, therefore, has great viewing areas.

The place is a top tourist destination in Auckland, New Zealand for the distinguished marine life exhibited. The acrylic sheets are fun to examine since they make the fish appear a lot smaller than they really are.

The Aquarium is very well facilitated having the Antarctic Ice Adventure as its main exhibit. Visitors can see real-life penguins. The temperature behind the glass is adapted to what the animals are naturally used to. Moreover, there is the Pacific Shark Zone, one of the original parts of the aquarium, a tunnel with tanks full of sharks. The place is a great attraction to explore and widen your horizons.

Wonderful place to leave your money to save the planet...starting with the ocean. I had so much fun in ALL of the different areas. My sister loved the sea horses. I was impressed with the large red lobster. Even better was the artifacts and history in the beginning of the exhibit. I cannot say enough good about it!

Went there on my birthday with my friends. It's nice place. The moment you enter, you'll see heaps of penguins and they are very cute. As you move forward, you'll see many different creatures. There is one spot where you can accept the challenge of keeping your hand in ice cold water for 30 seconds. Trust me, it's not as simple as it sounds. Besides this, you can also see some sharks over here.

The fish etc are wonderful. But the premises are looking tired. The cafe and shop need a revamp. Loved the kids area But an explanation about what to do with the colored in fish would be good. We discovered it but a lot of kids we saw missing the fun. Overall it was great. Took our 3yr old grandie. She loved it. So did we.

We had such a great time there. It was so much fun. The entrance was grand and so many things to do. They had a huge cafe inside and also a big play area for the kids. Penguins were my absolute favourite ! There is also a small retail store for tiny aquatic gifts. Fairly well prices attraction. Wish it was bigger and had more things to do but definitely worth a visit.

I feel like my expectations were inflated for this place, it was good, but relatively small for an aquarium. The big tank with the travelator was fantastic along with the penguins. I would recommend it highly, except coming from Sydney and the Sea Life there is bigger & more engaging.

I haven't been to Kelly Tarlton's since I was a kid about 25 years ago! Now I have a child myself and I wanted to see what it was like. I was pleasantly surprised. It sure has grown in size since then. We spent a great 3 hours wandering around all the exhibits. An amazing space to explore. My son loved the penguins, turtles and the sharks. But most of all the water play in the playground. I loved the classic underwater travelator with the stingrays and sharks swimming around you. A bit expensive but worth it I think.

Worth visiting this beautiful place. Especially if you have kids they will be amazed with this place. Tickets price was bit expensive. They have shark, sea horse and variety of different fishes. Penguins are eye catching. But they don't have dolphin which was quite disappointing. I have been to several sea world places like this in London and Scotland. When compared to those they have very less sea species. However from my view this Kelly tarton can reduce the price little to attract more customers. Cool pictures i have uploaded in the public gallery.

It was really awesome day for me and my family. Near here lots of place we enjoy the sea beach area as well. People are catching fish near sea world. Lots car parking here. Staffs are very helpful.

What an awesome afternoon we had! The staff were lovely and the exhibits were brilliant. We took my 10 month old son, he really enjoyed it. We will be back. A must visit for tourists visiting Auckland with kids. Perfect rainy day activity.
