Larco Museum is a is a pre-Columbian art museum in downtown Lima, Peru. Larco's building dates back to 18th-century. It used to be a vice-royal building that's constructed on a pre-Columbian pyramid of 7th century.
The museum bears Rafael Larco Herrera's name, the person who provided the basic collection of the museum. In 1925 he obtained a collection of 600 vases and other archaeological ceramic objects.
The museum opened up on Peruvian Independence day, July 28, 1926.
Larco Museum also features a daughter museum, named the Pre-Columbian Art Museum, located in Cusco, Peru.
The Museum's permanent exhibition represents 10,000 years of Peruvian pre-Columbian history. It is comprised of several halls. The Gold and Silver Gallery exhibits the largest collection of pre-Columbian jewelry. The museum has a whole gallery representing world's largest collection of erotic ceramics.

The museum entrance ticket costs 30 Peruvian Sol or ~10 USD per adult.
