Manila Cathedral, the Minor Basilica and the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception is a Roman Catholic Basilica in Manila. The structure is located in the walled city. It is dedicated to the Virgin Mary. This is an iconic historic landmark with unique architecture.
The church underwent the struggles of the times being renovated previously. The last development project was carried out in 2012-2014 extending the place and installed cameras, audio video systems. The interior, as well as the exterior, was renovated reopening the cathedral to the public soon after. The location now is a very popular one among both tourists and the locals.

Such beauty with so much history. Visiting the cathedral at night is also a good idea because the place is well lit to make it more picturesque.

It is gothic and huge church inside Intramuros. Inside, they have a historical showroom when and how this church was built. It feels like you go back in time when you are in this place. The architectural surroundings will definitely make you appreciate what it was before.

One of the most oldest and historical church in Metro Manila. Both locals and foreigners always want to take a picture of this magnificent structure. It is also near Intramuros where you can walk and learn more about the history of the Philippines way back the Spanish era. We also attended our classmates' wedding here few years ago and it is really beautiful!

The church has this ambiance of holiness and serenity that ignite your faith as you immersed in it. As a Catholic from Mindanao, one of my bucket list items is visiting the Mother Church of the Philippines and I am not disappoited by my visit. Though, I was a littled overwhelmed by the number of visitors in it, some do not have the proper conduct in visiting a place of worship.

Beautiful architecture. When visiting the church, you can also roam around inside the walled city and you can see old Spanish houses built before war. Last time I heard, having your wedding done here cost a lot of money and you need to get an schedule at least 1 year before the wedding date. Lot of tourists visits the place.

Beautiful restoration, more bright interiors, and, beautiful and melodious sound of the restored pipe organ. Has air-conditioning so as to allow the faithful to attend Holy Mass in a more pleasant manner.

We visited Manila Cathedral Basilica of the Our Lady of Immaculate Conception last June 12, 2018. That time it was opened to public for an Open House. We have the privilege to see the crypt, sanctuary and pulpit, the choir loft, the roof deck. You can really see time and history built its rich stories.

Amazing cathedral. Anyone can visit the church for free. And participate the sermons. I am a Buddhist. Still I can see everything. Very nice people inside. Historical cathedral. So beautiful and must visit place if you are in Manila.

Absolutely gorgeous design, deep historical ties, and intricate details and implements. This was a great stop on our Manila visit. I would warn of the tour guides, though loaded with tons of good, solid information, they had a pretty hard to believe story they were peddling. Great details about it's 8 restorations and historical relevance.

Pop in for a quick look. The Cathedral is definitely worth popping into for a quick look while exploring Intramuros. The cathedral was rebuild after WWII, so it is a newer construction, but interesting to see how the Filipinos chose to build a modern cathedral.
