This is one of must-see attractions usually missed by tourists. If you are for a couple of days in Edinburgh then take an effort and go to Ocean Terminal where the yacht is location. It's easy to get by public transport. I'd suggest to take a personal audio guide, it's not boring (!!!!) as most of audio guides. It tells you lots of interesting details. Multi-language guide. Another suggestion is to have a lunch or a cup of coffee on the yacht.

This boat is HUGE. Took us about two hours with tour headset, which was absolutely splendid.they have done a great job at showcasing the ship and it's stories. tea and food at the top is good, but often crowded. There is also fudge on board. Plenty of shops and places to eat nearby, and not to far from Edinburgh city center. A great place to take the family.

Well worth visiting. Very insightful, great activity for both old and young. Lots to see and learn and get to see not only how royalty lived but also how the staff lived. The tearoom is well worth a visit on board, scones and tea were amazing along with the royal service we received. We were made to feel like royalty... Highly recommended

A very interesting look inside a piece of British royal history. The opulence is eye popping & fascinating, though I can't help but feel a little horrified that all this luxury is for just one family who, purely by the luck of who they were born to, have all this handed to them on a silver platter.... literally! Everything, as you might expect, is absolutely top-notch & virtually priceless. If you are a royalist you will love this exhibition. If, like me, you feel less favourable towards the idea of the monarchy, this is interesting but somewhat horrifying too!!

Well where can I start..... I have to say our visit to the Royal Yacht was the icing on the cake for our honeymoon, myself and my husband decided to include a visit to the yacht as we had more time than originally planned. I have to say it was worth every single minute, I consider it good value for money on a visit to a well established venue. The audio tour was well presented and it was explained right at the beginning how to use them. Yes it's a dated tourist attraction but it's fun and allows you to reminisce and enjoy an insight into royalty... The luxurious surroundings of a bygone era displaying opulence only in a British way. Memories or Princess Margaret knocking the gin back or the duke sliding down the stairs, ahh the pleasures of innocent humour. I want to personally thank Roger and all the staff who made our visit extra special and went that extra mile by making that special touch magical (a secret to be kept) and a passing comment on Cameron in the Top Deck restaurant, your customer service was amazing... I know a few top restaurants that could take lessons from this young man, your mannerisms and professionalism was perfect. Overall would I recommend a visit without a doubt a 100% yes, even if it's just to meet the staff......

Great attraction, brilliant value for money. A fascinating tour around the Royal Yacht, not rushed and plenty of time to stop off for a cuppa mid-visit in the tea room. We were there around 3 hours. It was a rainy day and only got slightly wet moving between decks. Highly recommended 👍

At first the £16 entrance fee seems a bit much, having done the tour I can say it is worth the entrance fee. It is a self tour with your own personal handset. Great history of the royal family with all of the original furnishings in place.

A very nice self-guided tour of Britannia. It shows you how the Queen and the royal family used to travel. The visit takes you to the quarters of the British royal family and to all the other parts of the vessel: engine room, crew's quarters, etc. You can visit inside and on the deck of the vessel. If you wish, you can enjoy the Royal Deck Tea Room. The staff is friendly and helpful. They will gladly take your picture. A must to visit in Edinburgh.

A great few hours can be spent exploring the yacht and the displays. Staff all really helpful Great little fudge shop on board as well as a large souvenir shop in the terminal. A real insight into the Royals and their lives off camera. Lovely restaurant on deck with lunch and tea menu. With views of the water you can imagine yourself cruising in luxury.
