An amazing site to see. I would recommend standing street side right in front of the fountain the truly enjoy it's size and grace. The side and rear seating is ok, but it doesn't really put it into perspective. The colors, music and coordination of both make for a passionate experience worth while. We showed up about 20min before the showing and were able to find a place to settle.

When I went years ago they were magic. The fountains danced in perfect timing to great music. When I went 2 weeks ago the sound system was terrible quality. I stood right next to the fountain and could hardly hear the music, which was a random and badly mixed string of hits. The fountains moved and looked lovely. They did not dance or do anything in time with the inaudible music. The kids got bored after 10 minutes. I was bored after 5.

I remember going as a child and recently revisited as an adult with my children. I was worried I was going to be disappointed. I was not, it was brilliant. It gets very busy so it's worth going a little bit earlier if you want to see it from a particular place. It goes on for an hour which was too long for us, but you can leave whenever you wish. Absolutely worth a visit!

Though I have seen better fountain shows - especially in Singapore, this one draws much tourists and Barcelona citizens alike. It is about an hour long and takes place two times a day/late evening. Several songs are covered, but the light and fountain are not synchronized with the music. I have put several images to this review - just to get an idea of what it look like. People are much more than the show deserves, but it was so even 10 years ago. Getting out of the show takes much time, as everyone gets out together, and bus and metro network cannot take so much time easily. Also, we were informed to watch ut for pickpockets, though we did not see such - people were all happy. Children liked the show much. Maybe it is better to watch it a little bit up the fountain itself - there will be a better panoramic picture.

We travelled over from Ireland for a long weekend and decided to visit The Magic Fountain. It is, without any doubt, a must see. Check out their website for the fountain shows, music and lights. Even if it says closed at 8pm, click on the 'show times'. They run much later than that. It was the highlight of our trip and would definitely come back again. Enjoy 😎

A true one of a kind. Beautiful and interesting water display with music and colored lights. The thousands (and I mean thousands) of people that attend this makes you think Jesus himself is coming back. The people watching is almost as interesting as the fountain.. get there early because it's crowded.

An absolute must. The fountains turned out be be one of my favourite memories in Barca. One can easily spend around 90 minutes relaxing with you family. The show offer great music within the lights and waterworks, which gets better as it gets darker. It's guaranteed to be very busy as it's a popular and free attraction. Definitely worth your evening, but make sure that it is actually on, as it runs only 2 or 3 evenings of the week.

The fountain was of while I was here. Though this is a nice park and a good walk down the hill from the Castle. It's a nice way to make a day out of a few sites. I recommend taking the subway them walking to the top. Then walk all the way down. Refreshing.

The fountain itself is amazing! A spectacular combo of colour and shapes on the rythms of Queen and other mainly 80s artists. Its placement in Barcelona really adds to the experience, with the long boulevard and the Museum building on either end. We were really surprises to see just how many people came to see it, a very large gathering comprised of tourists mostly, but no doubt some of the locals were in the crowd. Unfortunately, as with most landmarks in Barcelona, is is tainted by the presence of street vendors harassing you with 1 euro water bottles, beer and the very loud kitschy bird whistles and castanets. There are multiple points where you can get drinks and food from stands, but at quite extortionate prices. The sound from the speakers could be better - i think the sound system could do with an upgrade. But, overall, a decent experience worth having!

Honestly my favorite attraction in Barcelona. I enjoyed it so much the first night that I came back the next. Its a free event and occurs every night at 21:30. The show typically lasts for about an hour. Its great for people of all ages, and especially for kids. The show consists of lights, music, and the giant fountain spraying water in a variety of different ways. It may not sound that great, but it is something that you have to be there to experience. I loved the show and couldn't reccomend it enough. I was in awe both times I went. It was remarkable to see. I truly enjoyed it. You can go close to the fountain of you're not scared of getting a little wet. It does get very crowded, however, as it is a large tourist attraction and it's free.
