Mirador de San Nicolas

Calle Espaldas a San Nicolas s/n, Granada

Mirador de San Nicolas is a square in Granada, which has the most wonderful view of the Alhambra castle and the Sierra Nevada. It is a historical point of the city, covered with ancient giant stones and full of tourists all day long. The city of Granada has the most complete image from this square.
The atmosphere in the Mirador is warm and cosmopolitan. There are always some gipsy women selling handicrafts and jewelery or offering to predict future. Locals, who sing flamenco and play guitar are also an inseparable part of the square.
Mirador de San Nicolas is especially stunning during the sunset. All the tourists enjoy that view at least once during their journey to Granada.

Beautiful view of the Sierra Baza along a lovely hike. This is a good choice for families or groups of mixed fitness levels. The whole loop is only 4km or you can do an out and back to the Mirador that is only 2km. A level path through mixed pine forest with rosemary, lavender, thyme and marjoram growing abundantly on the forest floor.

This took our breath away. Get there early to take pictures without clouds and for good pictures. Get there during the sunset hour for a lively atmosphere with romantic music. There were a lot of tourists there pretty much all day but we had better luck shortly before 10am

The view from here is beautiful. There were musicians playing for coins who sounded fantastic and added to the ambiance right before sunset. Expect a lot of people, especially in August. If you want to avoid the crowd, the mosque right next to this park has a garden with similar view where you can sit and watch the exterior of the Alhambra change colors during sunset.

A must visit location in Granada. Offering the best views of the Alhambra, this lively location is home to spontaneous flamenco, joyous students and a whole heap of budding tourists looking to enjoy themselves. Everytime I am in town I make sure I visit here. Sat on the doorstep of the San Nicolas church (under renovation) you should bring some beers or buy some at the gelateria just below the viewpoint and take in the amazing scenery. This is a popular spot, with restaurants, at all hours of the day.

Very nice view of the Alhambra and Generalife. The hike up the little roads is quite challenging in hot summer. Around the plaza you see quite a few shady people. However if you keep watching out for your valuables you feel pretty safe.

Great view of the Alhambra from here. Often artists playing music and some small restaurants nearby that weren't half bad. Would definitely recommend. Steep to get up to so you may want to take a taxi.

Great view of the castle. Huge difference between day and night time. Would recommend the night time more, a lot of walking up but lots of markets to keep you entertained. Alternatively you can take a taxi(under €10 from the mains trip).

Another must visit in Granada. Stunning view of the Alhabra with the snow capped mountains behind. Many tourists, so it may take a while to get a place with a view. But it's worth the wait. You can walk up there or take the city bus.

Real good place for picture with El Alhambra background! From here, it's nice to imagine how it looks like from the inside! Don't miss it! It's worth a visit! Have a nice stay in Granada! ❤️

No visit to Granada is complete without visiting this landmark. From the lookout you have the best views of the city and absolutely amazing perspective of La Alhambra Palace. You can arrive on foot from the city centre in just 15 minutes but beware of the heat during the summer months, probably not suitable for all levels of fitness. It is also very nearby other attractions like the Mosque.

Great view of Alhambra, actually the best i have seen when i was in Granada. If it is too crowded here to take a photo, go to mosque garden and you can find the same view with no crowd.

Great view of La Alhambra of course, but it is the place everyone goes. So crowded you'll mainly get people's phones in your photos unless you stake out a spot early.

Undoubtedly a great view of La Alhambra, but overrun with crowds of tourists. Walk by for the typical Alhambra sunset shot but not really enjoyable for a quiet chill spot.

The place to go in the late afternoon early evening. Watch the sunset over Granada and stroll along old cobbled streets. Pick a spot and take lots of photos.

Nice view of al hambra. Especially when the sun sets and the lights on. Next to the plaza is the mosque. It is less crowded there.
