It is a wooded park right on the water. Plenty of shade. On the day I was there "street dancers" and acrobats were competing with each other. Beer is "pricey" at the concession stands. A really cool place just to hang out. Kind of a freak show. But that can be cool. Harmless entertainment. Of course there were souvenir venders.

Still under a lot of construction in some areas, but you can't beat the view. There's some good food in the area, and it's pretty well kept. Once you get near the terminal you get bombarded with statue cruise vendors, but it's no big deal. For being downtown it's a pretty cool spot to go for a wander midday or after work. There's also a lot of history there which is definitely worth checking out.

A lot of improvements since December 2017. Can’t wait for the Navy memorial to be done when I return. Great place to sit or walk by the Hudson and look out at other landmarks. I like to draw and this park offers much for inspiration. This history of the park is very cool to so stop by the fort.

Beautiful park with a lot to do. Plenty of seating. Butterfly bushes, the Crystal carousel (large fish that go up and down), a place with water spouts for kids, Fort Clinton and the ferry entrance for a trip to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. The parks staff were amazing. They were very observant and helpful to the disabled getting on and off the ferry.

It's a good place for spending time with friends and family or even alone with different type of activity. The view is excellent. You can have a boat trip in Hudson River around the statue of liberty from here. Or even you can spend time there by just sitting in the park and enjoy the beautiful view of Hudson River. There is a restaurant inside the park. So if you are hungry then you can take some food as well. Overall the place good for spending time. only challenge is parking. If you take public transport then you are good. But if you take your own vehicle then you'll face difficulty to find a parking.

Battery park is a beautiful place in the new York. There are many monuments and Scriptures built in the park. There are many monuments of inventors , explorers , soldiers , immigrants etc. There are many green trees around. Also , there are many benches where you can sit and enjoy under the shade of the trees. Squirrels can be seen running everywhere..overall it is a great place to go with family. You can come here before visiting statue of liberty.

Battery Park is a historical place with an amazing history behind it. I loved my experience here. The park is very green with a few interesting and cool statues. You can see the Statue of Liberty from Battery park. I recommend this place to anyone who likes history, or just likes a nice walk in the park. If you happen to be in NYC I highly recommend a quick trip to battery Park.

Such a wonderful oasis among a hectic city. Beautiful grassy areas with chairs provided by the city. There is a dog park as well. One of my favorite features of this park is they have an educational vegetable garden. It's a garden run by volunteers that provides food to local schools, homeless programs, etc as well as teaching people about gardening. My kids loved that!

Amazing experience on a summer day! Beautiful sights and events in this area. Clean and very diverse. Great for picnics. You can see The Statue of liberty (not close). The street performers were entertaining and there are lots of food/beverage carts to choose from even a juice press.

Beautiful landscaping all spring and summer long. Well designed and well maintained paths the rest of the year. A good view of the statue of liberty, and the ferry there leaves from here. DON'T BUY FERRY TICKETS FROM THE PEOPLE WHO APPROACH YOU. They're ripping you off. Buy from the booth inside the historical site.
