Riverside Park

475 Riverside Dr, New York City

Riverside Park is a scenic waterfront public park on the Upper West Side of the borough of Manhattan in New York City, operated and maintained by the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation. The park consists of a narrow 4-mile (6.4 km) strip of land between the Hudson River and the gently curving rise-and-fall of Riverside Drive. When the park was first laid out, access to the river was blocked by the right-of-way of the New York Central Railroad West Side Line; later the railroad track was covered over with an esplanade lined with honey-locusts. Riverside Park also contains part of the Manhattan Waterfront Greenway, which encircles Manhattan's waterfronts with car-free bike routes.

Great little park on the west side! Connects to West Side highway for easy access. The bar on 103rd is great for adults, which has a nice view of the Hudson and NJ. And plenty of areas for kids and a great dog park for dogs, both small and large. Enter at 103rd. Great flat and slightly hilly areas for runs.

Beautiful place. You can see the Hudson river. Have playgrounds for kids. Nice to jogging. The Ulyses Grant's Memorial is interesting and the documentary too. A good place for the family.

an oasis in the hustle and bustle of New York City. Whenever I go to New York, I always park near Riverside Park. Because the parking is free there, and it is ample. There are walkways everywhere, trees everywhere, A dog walk there where you can take your dog off the leash to play with other dogs... And a small restaurant that overlooks the Hudson River. All of it gives a beautiful ambience to the already amazing skyline of New York City. We always eat at the small restaurant that is in Riverside Park. The food is mostly good, but not great. The drinks are always small, but enough. Prices are decent based upon its location. The place isn't bad at all, if it was I wouldn't come back. But I always do. I really love this park and everything about it.

Honestly one of the best parks in the city. Great place to walk or jog. Very family friendly. Pet owners heaven. It's always clean and so many bathrooms available. You can literally spend all day here and not be bored. It has beautiful views and you never know what interesting thing is around.

Fantastic place to go running or just for a walk. It stretches along the Hudson River meaning is cooler than Central Park. Great for hot summer days. Sunsets here are amazing too. There are a few places to eat and drink as well as playing sports. It then goes on to Battery Park in Lower Manhattan.

Great little park tucked away at the side of Manhattan. Famous for scenes in "When Harry met Sally" and "Sex and the City" to name just two, with nice views over the Hudson to New Jersey it's definitely worth a visit. We went both for a stroll during the day as well as to see the sunset one evening and both were equally nice visits. I also got to see some classic New York dog walkers in action!

Absolutely beautiful clean tranquil somber full of color and excellent scenery locations upon the route. Great photo opportunities available here. Easily manuevered the 6 miles of beauty expertly. Definitely will be taking a few of my nature junkies with me the next time my husband and I embark on another adventure.

Always love Riverside Park! But have a big problem. The insects love me and think that I am their next meal. Curiously, this is not the case for other people. Should have gone to the beach instead, there I do not have to worry about insects.

Came here with our pup during Autumn. It's quite pretty, and linear, running along the river with views of Jersey at the bottom of the hill, and a walkway running along the water. The walkway is a bit intense with lots of people working out. The park itself is much calmer and quieter. Nice setting.

Love going here. Along the river. Nice views. Great flat running and biking path. And it's mostly wide enough to accommodate cyclists+runners going in both directions. Plus, in April, you get to see nice cherry blossoms.
