Service is wonderful! The staff are very attentive and helpful. Highly recommend the oysters. They're very fresh and well chosen. The peppers and mozzarella was also excellent. It's the best mozzarella I've ever had. The porterhouse for 2 was a very large portion. Love that each side had it's own unique profile. The curry cauliflower had great flavors. Highly recommend this as a unique side dish. Got the key lime pie for dessert. It's very rich. Almost like a cross between pie and cheese cake.

From the moment you walk in and see the meat on the right hand side, you know you’re in for a good meal! We shared the porterhouse for 3 people, plus had a Filet Mignon - both meats were absolutely fantastic. For sides we had French fries, mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, green beans, Caesar salad and corn. Each were great, especially the creamed spinach which I’m usually not such a big fan of. Overall, highly recommended if you’re a meat lover. The atmosphere is great which matches the food.

Excellent New York steakhouse in midtown. Like most places around here, it does cater to a lot of tourists, but that doesn't mean the quality is off. The steaks were cooked correctly, and the after dinner cheesecake was amazing. Service was good, and the waiters knew their menu. Prices are high, but that is the reality of a good steakhouse in Manhattan. Sides are served family style and in addition to the meat.

I had the soup of the day which was a savory crab gazpacho. I paired it with Gallagher's Rob Roy cocktail, I was a bit disappointed. I expected the cocktail to have a better garnish. The orange wedge didn't do much to enhance the cocktail's flavor. For the main course I had the Short Ribs of beef. The sauce was exquisite, the mash potatoes are a must have. Amazing NY style cheesecake and great coffee for an afternoon pick me up. Staff was impeccable. Overall a great experience.

Great place for a special occasion. Recently came to Gallaghers Steak house for the first time for my birthday dinner. The beautiful old photos on the walls with the extra attentive staff waiting on your every need makes for a great dinner. Plus this was the best steak I have ever had. Great flavor and texture. It was so enjoyable eating at this restaurant I recommend Gallaghers Steakhouse for a very special evening.

THE BEST FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD ANYWHERE EVER....! The whole dining experience was amazing from start to finish. The attentive waiter listened to what we liked and made informative wine and food suggestions, as well as telling us how each was cooked and why it was a speciality or favourite. The wine was excellent and the food..... I have never eaten anything as good! I am writing this review from the UK 9 months after visiting and I still think about that steak to this day! 100% you must eat here.

Classic steak house with impeccable service. Staff was both attentive and knowledgeable. Easily the best steak I've had so far in terms of flavor and beef quality. We were told the cheesecake was the best in the city, and even without many other points if reference, it will be hard to top. Plan on spending a lot of money, but rarely will you find a place like this where the combined quality of the food and service easily justify it.

Gallagher's is the BEST steakhouse in NYC and, based on my personal experience, in the world. The location has that prohibition era atmosphere and the staff just matches that style perfectly. All waiters (at least the ones we met) are not the youngest but with a great sense of humor making the overall experience simply perfect! It feels like being in a movie. That's besides the fact that the food is fantastic.

Extremely unsuitable for any business dinner or other important event, unless your party enjoys looking at raw meat in the lobby for around an hour. Made a reservation at 8:00 PM on a Monday. We showed up on time and was finally seated at 8:42 PM. Every five or ten minutes, we were told that between three to five tables were imminently ready. Sorry that is not an acceptable way to run any restaurant, let alone one that charges $51 for a piece of meat. The good news is that at the time of payment, the restaurant was very understanding when I told them that my credit card was not yet ready and I will instead pay them when I feel like it around ten minutes later after I am done visiting some other restaurants.
