We happened upon this place by chance in Chelsea Market. It had quite a line! But it moves quickly, and once you take a bite of these tacos you realize it was definitely worth every minute. Seriously. Delicious. They seem simple, with meat and varied fresh ingredients. But the meat is tender, ingredients fresh, and the overall flavor profile is really well done and unique across the different kinds of taco. I got three meat tacos and wasn’t disappointed. The meat is well spiced, and you’ll regret it if you only get one! One thing of note, it’s a busy market so you might have trouble finding a seat to eat these beauties.

Los Tacos No 1 is one of the best taco experiences we've had in NYC. This location is located in Chelsea Market and is, in my opinion, the only excellent food option in the market. The line is long, but it goes fast. Before you get to the cashier, make sure you know your order. I recommend the carnitas tacos (three of them should be enough for one). You'll pay and the cashier will give you a slip. Keep that and give it to the kitchen. Stand and wait for them to hand you your order. Salsas are on the open kitchen counter. If you like tacos, these ones are excellent because of how they fry the tortillas. The flour ones are to die for!

I love these tacos. Ingredients are fresh, dress them up with salsa of your choice. I really love the red hot peppers you can get on the counter. During Weekends lines are out the door, I prefer to come midweek.

Some of the best tacos around. Great place with delicious food. Located in the busy Chelsea Market in the trendy Meatpacking district. There's limited seating but you can eat at the standup bars out front. Usually crowded and there's a wait but the wait is usually not too long and worth it. Inexpensive choices of food and drinks.

I had anticipated going here for months when I visited NYC. It did not disappoint! The concept is very minimal. There is nothing flashy, just great ingredients. One was enough to satisfy me but hubby got 2 (sometimes gets 3). I like the pork (abodoba?) and he gets the steak. I get everything but the cilantro. The red sauce is spicy but delicious. My daughter’s favorite part is the guacamole. I can’t wait to go back!

If you're looking for some seriously delicious tacos, you need to make your way here! The service is friendly and very fast. The food is unbelievable. The freshly made salsa is also fantastic. Don't miss this place if you're in NYC! Super easy to get to and more than worth your time! Just a tip: when you pay, keep your receipt in hand and hand it to the person making your food.

Know what you want before you order and step up to the counter with your receipt to have to have it made. More seating and a bar in the back. You won’t be disappointed. Mexican Bloody Mary also a delicious experience. All are satisfying the cactus (Nepal) taco if you want something a little adventurous. Sounds crazy but is very good. You can order fish tacos in back area with bar.

This place is very popular and the food is very tasty, I’ve been coming here for years. However, their sanitary practices are not up to par. Today I witnessed the cook handling raw steak meat with the same tongs he was using to handle raw chicken, cooking both meats next to each other on the same grill. Not a good look! I voiced my concerns and the workers just laughed it off. You won’t see me there again, that’s for sure.
