By far the best experience with sushi I ever had. We were looking forward to go eat sushi in NY, but it was far far better than we could have imagined. From the service, the 5 men sushi bar yelling things we (damn tourist) couldn't even comprehend, made the experience just brilliant. To be honest we were very tempted to go back few times but we had few days and lots of other places to discover, so with this amazing experience in mind we couldn't forgive ourselves if we left a rock unturned in exchange of eating here twice, I WILL come back. Because it was THAT good.

The best sushi and sashimi I have had in a long, long time. Definitely have to spend money though, it isn't cheap sushi. Quality is so fresh, staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.

Great quality sushi! It's as good as it can get here in the states. Staff were friendly and customer service was great! It reminds me of being in Japan. We had Blue Ribbon Special platter. Love the uni!

Japanese horse mackerel is must try out dish finishing frying the bone end up crispy bone with dipping sauce. Service was wonderful where everyone is nice and knowledgeable. Great, extremely welcoming staff. Offered to check our belongings, very laid-back atmosphere. Little things like, the fact that one of the cooks walking by gestured toward the correct restroom, as it's a bit ambiguous, or that when I had the orange clam sashimi, and wanted to venture to a different type, the server leveled with me and said that's the orange was their best one. Great tasting cuts of fish, salmon roe was great. Would go again, great lighting and atmosphere. Small, but not cramped. Cozy.

I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. I found this place on Google and saw that it was a $$ place and 4 1/2 stars. So I had to go check it out. The place was beautiful, a bit small but that is Manhattan for you. When I went to look at the menu I was a bit taken aback by the prices. In my opinion I would rate this sushi place a $$$. The selection of sushi all looked amazing but a bit higher then I am use to paying for sushi. So my boyfriend ordered a salad and I ordered one of there combos. Sadly we left that place still very hungry and having to pay a large bill. I love sushi and the fish did taste amazing. I believe this was the first time I enjoyed eating a California roll. They make it with blue crab meat absolutely delicious. I don't deny that the food was delectable my only critique was the portion sizes. Enjoy!

I'm so glad Decided to order here! This sushi will make you forget you were even thinking about real sushi, it's very good sushi it should be in a class of its own. With flavorful, unique and surprising combinations, this place is just good food period. The rolls and the tempura are my go-to, they're delicious, filling, and healthy

Being a sushi snob, I have to say that this is on top of my list. Fish is fresh and sashimi melts in your mouth. Interior very cozy and Japanese authentic. Great experience!

Very interesting little Sushi Bar. It can be a bit hard to find as it is actually on a street of brownstones and has a very suptle sign. Also the map seems to try to send you into an alley. It is open late and tends to be quite busy even late at night. The staff are fantastic and very helpful. I took my wife there for her birthday and the waiter took 15 minutes explaining the different aspects of premium sake to me. We did end up with an amazing and unique bottle that was one that I have ever had. The food also was excellent Despite being busy and lively it had a very relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere
