Came here after a recommendation & it was amazing! Brilliant cool-relaxed vibe with great decor & layout! The menu was very strong & unique, food was jaw-dropping good. Ryan looked after us with brilliant service-thank you. Very highly recommend!

Amazing ambience and service, yet not stand offish so you don't feel comfortable bringing your out of town Midwest parents. Waiters have expert knowledge of the menu and helped make great dining decisions. Definitely start with one app and one entre per person plus a veggie, rice, or noodle side as they portions do fill you up and dessert is too good to miss!

Absolutely amazing. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was on another level! We had the pork buns, the carrot dumplings, the short rib (big enough to share between 2 people) and the Asian stir fry greens. Really tasty! The atmosphere was awesome too. Loved the dim lighting and the overall vibe. Very New York!

literally everything we ate here was amazing. There was four in my group and we ordered about 6 different dishes (family style). Even though it's expensive - the price is just right for what you get (i would even say it's cheap for how delicious it is!). Some people are indifferent on the atmosphere, I personally like it - it's unique. We sat at the long dining table on the lower level and I felt like I was eating in Hogwarts dining room:) Overall, an amazing experience. Definitely coming back!

A trendy, staple Asian fusion restaurant/bar within the city that’s great for groups or to take a date. The space is modern and spacious but can be pretty loud, service is superb/attentive and the food is a modern take on Asian Fusion. I love Asian food, and I frequently eat in The Chinatowns in both Flushing and Manhattan so I am a bit bias. However, if the Chinatowns with hole in the wall restaurants are not your thing, then Buddakan might be a better option as the food is more modern and American.

Expensive but totally worth it. A beautiful, dramatic room with perfect date night lighting! They have a huge communal table but plenty of smaller ones too. The food is very good: All your favourite Chinese restaurant dishes but done in a very modern, high end way. Every dish we had was delicious and beautifully presented. Try the steak in birds nest and the crab toast (trust me, it’s incredible). Service was solid, if slightly stretched. Perhaps they were unexpectedly busy that night. All round, an excellent restaurant.

Trendy, hip place exactly as you'd expect. However, the food is also great. A great place to come for nearly any reason.. special night, hungry, guests, date, etc. - can't go wrong. The cauliflour lollipops are amazing....a must-order.

It was our last night out in the city and I wanted it to be something special for me and my better half so booked us in to buddakan. I have been there before and liked it a lot so wanted my boyfriend to experience it as well. All I can say it was even better than the last time! Susana was our host and did an amazing job! It was so much fun to watch her doing a perfect job and do her part as an entertainer as well! Food was delicious. We couldn’t have asked for a better last night out in the city! I am sure we will be back sooner rather than later. Thank you Susana for making the dinner special! xx

The ambience is like a lot of more trendy places to eat and drink with very low lighting and candles making it a very pleasurable place to be. Staff are friendly and helpful.....more on this shortly. The food is fantastic and the peppered beef we had was some of the best beef I’ve ever had, amazing!! The waiter was attentive and distantly helpful.....there with you but half an eye on the next task. Nice guy but the devil is in the detail at these prices and reaching across the both of us to pour/spill water everywhere was not my idea of top class service. Everything was all too rushed. All the attentive questions were asked but were distant and void of personal care. However, tick list place to visit done. Sex and the City done. Overall a pleasurable experience.

Actually the best Chinese food I have ever eaten in my life. The staff were brilliant. They took the time to stay and chat with us explaining the service, talking through various dishes and offering helpful suggestions to our large and raucous party of nearly 20. They had a great cocktail and spirits selection and we definitely worked or easy through most on the menu. They even tailor made us don't cocktails based on the celebration (wedding party on the eve before the big day)....I couldn't begin to tell you what they were, only that they were so good and a little too easy to drink down. I not only recommended this to anyone that loves food (and those that don't) but also to Sex and the City fans as this restaurant appeared in the first Sex and the City movie (so I am told by the wife 😂).
