Gramercy Tavern has to be of New York City's best and most dependable restaurants. Our recent dinner was a wedding rehearsal dinner in a private room. We had a delightful husband and wife server team who brightened up the evening. The food was excellent start to finish. Dealing with the restaurant management in arranging the event was a joy. It is expensive, but unquestionably worth it.

Wine list was a little disappointing, but the food was delicious. The wine I had, for the record, was awesome. Merlot - but I can't recall what. Paired it with the pork belly which was rich and fatty and awesome; but probably the tiniest portion of pork I've ever had. Layered it with a cheese plate which was awesome. Small selection of that, but good cheeses (water buffalo, sheep, and cow). Waitress threw in a free cheese for us too. This review is for the tavern, which has an awesome vibe and out of this world service. Portion sizes were small, and the menu prices are high - so just be aware that this is one of those "go for the experience" places; not the best value.

A great fine dining experience. Had tasting menu paired with wine. Every dish was full of flavor and made sense with the season. Hospitality is top notch. Did not experience the tavern area but seems more like a chill area. This dining experience is worth while to have once in a while. Definitely won't be a regular because it is out of my price range but nevertheless a great experience.

The service was superb and the food was delicious. I really like it that it is a non-tipping environment. Makes the whole experience much more relaxing in my opinion. We had burgers and asked for salads instead of fries. The burgers were amazing and the salad was good. It's a place we'll be coming back to!

Gramercy Tavern is a famous restaurant which has earned a Michelin star. Having a dinner even at bar area since I was solo were fabulous. I came here around 6.00pm for early dinner. The restaurant has great atmosphere, creative menu and good service. I chose the 4 course dinner. Without understanding in detail of the menu, the meal came out as a surprise. The ingredient pairing were perfect and very thoughtful. The bartender was attentive and made good wine suggestions. I do suggest for those without reservation to come early as by 7.30pm the restaurant is crowded. All the meal in the 4 course set were done perfectly with right combination of ingredient and flavour. The smoked Arctic char toast is the most memorable meal. So delicious and crunchy.

Gramercy Tavern is one of the best restaurants on this earth. No tip policy is because they are all held to a high standard of service that they consistently deliver on. The atmosphere is excellent, the staff is not judgmental, and everyone is attentive. The food is amazing and a great price for what you get. The burgers are some of the best, if not THE best, burgers I've ever had. An amazing beer selection tops it off.

One of our top restaurant experiences! We recently read about this restaurant in Culture Code, a book about how you create great teams and the team at Gramercy Tavern definitely exceeded our expectations. The service was top notch, starting with the phone calls as soon as our reservations were made, to the table service on the night of our meal. All of the food were amazing but you MUST try their whole wheat bread, which is like biting into a butter filled cloud. The second must-have is their Smoked Trout appetizer, it will redefine what you think fish can taste like. A 9.99/10!!

The food here is pretty damn good. If you're not used to New York City prices then you might freak out but all in all the locals love it. The staff is very good as well. They take good care of the place and it's very clean and I recommend any of the dishes that include extra fresh ingredients including but not limited to their salads.
