The food itself here is 4.5 stars but I have to give a low rating in the hopes that the owner makes a change to their music. We went on a Friday night around 10:30pm and I understand it's late and the weekend, but I still don't see why they would blare 90s nightclub music in a nice Italian restaurant. I like 90s music but this wasn't even good 90s music and regardless makes no sense in the context of an old school Italian restaurant. Anyway, had the squid ink spaghetti and the artichoke and shrimp ravioli and both were excellent. The lemon custard sponge cake dessert was stellar as well.

Amazing food, service, ambience. A bit noisy on a Friday night, but just lean in when you're talking and you're fine. Wine was delicious and dessert delectable. You will not be disappointed. My dress is casual, but most were dressed to be out if you know what I mean. Service was on point and attentive. Will definitely be coming back the next time I'm in NYC.

Everything about this restaurant is just absolutely STUNNING!! The service is just fabulous, the food is simply exquisite, and the atmosphere is beautiful/romantic whether it’s family, friends, or a lover. Their Tiramisu is the BEST I have ever had in my entire life; you will definitely want to leave room for dessert. Their selection of Italian wines is quite wonderful as well. The price point is definitely hefty but it is worth EVERY single dollar!!!

Excellent food, very good to excellent service. So why three stars? This is by far the loudest restaurant I have ever been to. Greatly detracted from an otherwise nice evening. The place also appears to cater to locals rather than travelers. Maitre’D/Owner paid lots of attention to other tables but none to us. Still service was very good and professional. If you have a high tolerance for noise, by all means go. But we will not likely be back despite the fine food and service.

A great Italian restaurant! Me and my wife went there a couple of weeks ago. The place was empty when we came there, but the waiters were already busy running around. One of them took our coats and we were seated at our table. The place was spacious unlike many of the other restaurants in the area; the place got full very fast, but never got too crowded. There was a great selection of wine and food. We both ordered pasta and really enjoyed it. For desert we had cheesecake and was one of the best I ever had. We are definitely coming here again!

Fantastic food and wonderful service. Hostess and owner went to great effort to seat us without a reservation on a busy Thursday night. And, when a large group was seated next to us they offered a quieter table when one freed up. They did not have to do this but it was very much appreciated. You bet I am going back to this wonderful restaurant. They have earned my loyalty and I plan to let everybody know about it.

This was our second visit, but it will not be our last. Enjoyed a long relaxing lunch with my business partner and my wife. The service was excellent, food was perfect and we never felt rushed even as the room was empty when we decided to leave at 3:30pm. On 9th Ave, near 57th, it's a little outside the beaten path, but well worth it.
