I wanted a place to celebrate a birthday of my best friend. He loves Italian food so I decided to look for something in the neighborhood. Rafele was the best choice I made! Before even getting there, I called the restaurant to ask if his family from abroad can deliver a gift basket and they were very kind and responsive, when we arrived to the restaurant we were surprised that the table was nicely decorated and in a perfect spot. Our server for the night was Tomasso who was absolutely phenomenal! his recommendations were spot on and his service was seamless - Thank you!! as for the food, We decided to go for the chef's tasting menu and long story short, it is my favorite Italian menu in the city by far! the portions, the flavors the diversity and the attentiveness to dietary restrictions are not something I have encountered anywhere else before. So thank you Rafele for this experience, We for sure will be back

Stopped in for a quick bite and a glass of wine. Bright and lively dining room with a traditional Italian focus. The bar, while comfortable is relatively small.

Outdoor dining was nice in good weather. But food was mediocre. Zucchini flowers stuffed with cheese weren't always stuffed (some were straight zucchini fritters, not flowers). Branzino had bones in it. Wine was good and service decent. Not sure I'd go back with so much great Italian food nearby.

We went here for the Chefs Special, a four course meal catered just to you. It was THE best thing we had in NYC. The waiter was so wonderful. The food was authentic and so delicious. We will definitely be back! We have referred TONS of friends here and everyone has come back raving about it! It’s a must if ever you are in the area!

Awesome food. I had the spinach ravioli with rocoti cheese with a creamy buffalo sauce with a Italian red wine. They did have baked cheesecake(I passed that up), but it looked very tempting. The atmosphere was fun and the waiters were great with recommendations. Great for hosting a large party of 14. Will go back if I am in the city of New York.

I went here with a group of coworkers for lunch one day. We ended up splitting majority of the appetizers and a pizza as a family style sharing option. The food delivered on so many levels! It was authentic and superior quality. My favorites were the dough fried with prosciutto appetizer and cheesecake. You must try the cheesecake here!

Cozy Italian place with good wine and pasta. Sat at the bar and met interested people, always a plus for me. Ordered tagliatelle pasta one night, pizza another and both were very good.

Quality, authentic Italian food with great service. Tonight was the second time I have been here in over a year and the food and service are still great. Meatballs, fried artichokes, tagliatelle and tiramisu were all excellent. Service was attentive and efficient. We also had a reasonably priced super Tuscan that was great. At the end of the night, I found my 2.5 year old son by the pizza oven learning how to make a pizza which they ended up giving to him to take home for free. Turns out it was the owner, Rafele, himself. Thank you! We will be back.

Excellent Italian restaurants with a quaint vibe. I love their breads, very fresh and delicious. Their pasta are al dente and not super creamy or cheesy, letting the flavor come through. The wine list is extensive and their servers offer great pairings. Would definitely come back!

Great food, the restaurant is a little small and our large party of 13 had a hard time fitting around the one large table they have. It's also right in front of the pizza oven. We were hot, but it may have been the best pizza I've ever had, try the Bianca!
