Cheap beer, fast service, free hot dogs, what else could you need? In an ever modernizing area, this is a true dive bar in the best sense. The Rudy beers (a blonde and a red) were not fancy but quite tasty enough for the absurdly affordable prices! Will definitely come back any time I'm in the neighborhood

Inexpensive Beer, in Manhattan with Free Hot Dogs on the side = awesome! However, the overall venue is pretty narrow. So when it gets packed, you'll have to try to move like a snake through the crowd. The back area is probably a cool place to be during the summer, but not during the winter. It was brick back there despite the overhead heating (Interestingly enough, people were still chilling out there... watching hockey. I guess if you can't go to the rink, simulate it?) I'll def be visiting again, probably to watch a football game or something. I recommend you do the same.

One of my favorite Bars to go to of all time. I loves going their, watching sports, drinking Rudy's Blonde or Red, downing hot dogs, and watching people from all walks of life having fun together. This is greatest NYC Bar of all time.

There's nothing bad you can say about Rudy's. Solid service, behaved patronage, CHEAP beer, a $5 Beer and shot, it's all great. The Rudy Blonde is a great beer and a pitcher is $8 (!!!), so I recommend. Get in early and stay for a while, the 8AM open time makes it a fixture for any time of the day. HOWEVER, I happened not to get my free hot dog (other people did, they looked great), so if anyone is reading this review that works there, you owe me an extra hot dog, please and thank you.

Great place to go for good beer at a great price. Awesome atmosphere. Crowd is always friendly and many times entertaining. My husband and I go there when we are in town. Doorman has always been friendly and nice. Highly recommended

Doorman is a bully, will never go back. He knows how to abuse his power! You can defiantly tell he wanted to be a police officer and never made it. He also has no idea what a real id is. Couldn’t understand that people from other countries have ids that are not from the U.S. and decided to harass me as I tried to explain that to him

I would recommend this place if you're looking for a place that would always be your best back up plan if everything else fails. One of the best dive bars in midtown. Frequented by young and old alike, you won't get booze at such low prices nearby or rarely in Manhattan. Don't expect a place to sit down and relax so if you're looking to have a blast with friends and you don't wanna relax, this is the place to be. The bartenders are very nice and friendly. Go to Rudy's and have a wonderful time and you won't regret it but don't expect it to be quiet....

Nice historic bar that's been a part of the city for a long time. The drinks are reasonably priced and the pitchers are a great value to split among friends. The bouncer at the door was cool and the atmosphere was lively and energetic with a younger crowd. They have a check-in special where you can unlock a free hot dog once inside. Although it gets busy, the service was prompt and the pitcher of Bud Light was cold and great. Only downside is that since the venue is small you might not find a place to sit and will be standing up holding your drinks. It's a nice place if you're looking for affordable drinks but not a great place for a prolonged stay.

Never being to New York before, I looked up places of interest, Rudy's was one that came up on a map of the area. It is not big by any stretch but the locals were very friendly and it was a lot of fun. Get a T-Shirt from the bar, they are nice. I will always go back when we are in the area. Really cheap house beer and free hot dogs with every beer. They also have a patio where you can enjoy it better. Definitely recommended! Loved it!

Not a bad spot and actually gets a decent crowd even on weeknights. Friendly patrons and great place to meet people. Free hot dog with every drink (but you have to ask for it). The male bartender seemed to be a little aggravated and over-worked. He was working alone and the bar was busy. Not too friendly, but probably can't blame him. They really should have at least 2 bartenders. Jukebox was the digital internet type, so music was all over the place. I ended up going to a nearby bar called Blue Ruin and it was better...all rock n roll and friendly service!
