We had to go here, even in freezing February. Located near a dog park, it’s a nice spot for people-watching! Food was amazing, wish we had Shake Shack back home, but then again; it’s just one of the many reasons to come back to this city!

So I’ve been a shake shack since they opened this original location. It was great in the beginning. Yummy food. But the service has been on the decline in the past year or two. Rude, apathetic workers. Our order was totally messed up. No bacon on the fries we ordered it with. They forgot the hot dog and we waited another 7-10 minutes for just that. Our concrete was melting and barely acceptable. We saw food/orders ready but not being served fast enough so they were getting cold or melting. There were lots of upset customers with cold fries, missing items, etc. The kitchen floor was totally disgusting and potentially dangerous. I’m surprised their original location was so bad. I’m actually going to write to Danny Meyer...

August 2018 and this place is still one of the best burgers in the city. The prices may vary slightly throughout New York City, but a shack burger with cheese is approximately $6.50. You got to add the tasty fries, because if you like french fries these are also some of the best. SO! If you got to compare an In and Out burger to this particular burger, they are two different burgers and both are very good and yes you can have two favorite burgers. Hope that helps. And as my people would say ...enyoy!

One of the best hamburgers in New York, but the service quality seems to deteriorate further at this location from time to time. Unfriendly cashier and very bad pick-up setvice. Only two people were in front of me while placing an order for two burgers, but it took 20 minutes to receive my order. The pager is useless, since it hardly operated correctly for my recent visits. What's the point to page the customer when the order is another 10 minutes of waiting? Also, remember to check the completion of your order before leaving the pick-up window, since the incomplete orders have been presented to the customers quite often. Garbage is scattered around but seldom saw people cleaning promptly. Wish this iconic location could be better managed.

Busy, busy, busy. Also, ordering on the app was actually counterproductive, ended up waiting a lot longer than if we had just waited in line (almost an hour in total). Burgers are okay, if you like fast food joint (McDonald's, Wendy's, etc.) type burgers. Fries were good, but again. So good for a hunger fix (I was going to say "for a quick bite", but in my experience that was not the case).

Love this place! I've been going to Shake Shack for more than 10 years. I always order the Shack Stack because it's the most delicious burger I've ever had. Pair it with the bacon cheese fries and I'm the happiest girl in the world! The outdoor seating is perfect for people-watching all year round. I come here to eat dinner with my partner and our dog. Check the live cam on their website to see how long the line is!

First time at this location. Usually the lines are ridiculous, but it was extremely hot that afternoon, so few people this time. Food as usual was enjoyable but nothing spectacular. Have noticed that their prices are creeping up; however the meat is supposedly hormone and antibiotic-free, so that remains a selling point for me. However, there are no bathrooms at this locations, so after eating a greasy burger and fries, I had to improvise to clean my hands - I first used their drinking water and then went to the McDonald's across the street which has a bathroom. I bought an iced latte which was enjoyable and a small price to pay for the use of the bathroom.

I went to Shake Shack last night around 8:00 pm and had the most disturbing experience at the Madison Square Park location. First, I encountered a couple of rats running around. Fare enough, it is a park and creatures linger where food is being served. What bothered me most was as I was waiting for my order, I sat on the only table available at the time close to a bush about 20 feet away from the pick up station. There were mice running across to the next bush just next to me barely scraping my foot. At that point I look next to me and see a bunch of mice scrambling in the bush as I ate my burger. Ruined my appetite and I did not enjoy my food or the experience. While this may not be the fault of Shake Shack, it seems that they should work with the City to help this Rat and mice problem near there restaurant. It makes me wonder what these rodents are doing once the restaurant lights are out having a party through the night. Because if this, I will not be back. As far as the food goes, The burger was good.

Shake Shake quickly became my favorite place for a burger and fries. What caught our attention was the EXTREMELY long line, and since we had no other plans decided to stick it out. "If everyone else was willing to wait it must be worth it" we thought. Sure enough it was. And overall, the wait was only 30 minutes or so, so it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The burgers were juicy and you could tell every ingredient, bread, patty, tomato, lettuce, etc was fresh and had a purpose constructing this awesome burger. We also had two concretes, do not forget to get them, so delicious! Overall everything was really good and I cant wait for a Shake Shack to open closer to home!

The long shake shack line never fails but this was my first shake shack burger and overall it’s a pretty good burger. It’s cooked very well and presented accordingly, not the least bit sloppy. The fries are good as well especially when they are hot and crispy. Not this biggest burger person but it got the job done.
