The Bar Room - elegant modern yet unpretentious place for a special or business lunch. Food & presentation artfully prepared. Service tactful & attentive. The Roasted Beets w Black Truffle - Pistachio Vinaigrette are what is served in heaven. Definitely would come again for a special NYC treat.

We celebrated my sons graduation here. The staff are friendly and proficient. The food was beautiful and delicious. You can see why they have Michelin stars. They also have a bar next door which is also fantastic.

We ate here in the dining room. It surpassed our expectations, and was a surprisingly good value for a tasting menu given the quality. Cozy views of the MOMA sculpture garden out the back window, and lovely modern decor in the dining room. Dishes were creative, tasty, and well-prepared. Exceptional wine list of mostly European wines.

Love the set up. Casual elegance. Amazing food, plated in a way that is both beautiful and fun. Husband had the gnocchi and I had the lobster risotto. Amazing service. Would come here just for a drink, too. The bar is gorgeous (and fully stocked)!

Absolutely amazing meal served in a stunning environment. The tasting menu is exquisite - either 3 or 6 courses for lunch or up to 8 for dinner. My wife and I opted for the 6 course lunch menu, which includes dishes chosen by the chef as well as a few palate cleansers. The menu changes seasonally so there’s no point in describing each dish, but it’s fine dining at its best. You will not be disappointed. Well Done

The Modern is a classy upscale French Restaurant. The price is a little on the higher side but it is well worth breaking the budget for a good night out. They have a nice bar area and lively music. The food is amazing if you love french food this is the place for you. Our favorite part of the place to eat is the garden they have beautiful high ceilings and a wonderful view. My favorite food to order is the Gnocchi with Black Truffle and Radish. I think that the menu has a lot for all different tastes. Overall service was quick and very pleasant. We didn't want past your average time for a table. And everyone is very friendly.

My wife and I had lunch in the kitchen at the chef's table. I highly recommend it. The meal was outstanding and the service was top notch . We were presented with 7 course meal and 2 desserts. Each course was a delight to the palate. The chef and his team were outstanding in delivery and personal. The lunch was a memory that my wife and I will remember for a long time. It is well worth it . Don't hesitate , you will not be disappointed.

This isn't hands down one of my favorite places in this entire city, which is obviously a pretty big claim. The formal dining room is just exquisite with excellent service and food. And the bar room is the real gem! Great snacks and mains and one of the best cocktail menus around. Just love this restaurant!

One of the finest culinary and wine destinations in NYC! Chef Bissel is one of the great young chefs of our time. Great place for both a casual bite and fine dining experience.

I've never been disappointed by their prix-fixe dinner menu. In the summer, finish with a nightcap in the MoMA sculpture garden, it's utterly serene. No tipping, reservations recommended.
