Really good once we were on the bus, great tour guide who was both entertaining and informative. Only negative would be the slighty chaotic organisation at the starting point in Times Square, trying to find the right bus and which queue to be in.

Had a three day pass and did all routes including the night trip - a great way to see the city.

We bought the 2 day premium pass tickets. We really enjoyed our first day tour with John Harkins as our narrator. He was very informative and wonderful at his job! We had tickets to see Carousel that night so we planned on doing the nighttime tour the next night. The 2nd day we boarded the Big Red Bus at 10:00 heading to the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. We exited the bus at the drop off for Freedom Tower. At that time, the weather was cold but it was not snowing. When we came out of the 9/11 museum around 2:00 it was snowing. I called the Big Bus phone listed and a recording said the Brooklyn tour was cancelled as well as the night time tours. It did not say the bus in our area was not running! I also checked their website trying to make sure we could catch a Big Red Bus back to our hotel on west 57th Ave. We left the museum and began walking to the bus stop. We were very cold and wet from the snow. We stood in the cold blowing snow for 35 minutes, observing not one Big Red Bus on the roads. Although we did see the other tour bus lines running. Finally, a yellow cab driver pulled over and offered us a 23.00 ride back to our hotel. We understand the hazards of driving in snow but we would have appreciated being better informed. We certainly did not get our moneys worth out of the 2 passes!

Our tour guide, Matt, on the Night Tour, was exceptional with his information and presentation! I loved the lights and going over the Manhattan Bridge to Brooklyn. Very pretty and gave you a different perspective from the day tours. Of course, the day tours showed New York City and where we needed to go! Matts driver femalename begins with an M too was excellent as well. Highly recommend the Hop on Hop Off Big Bus Tours!

This was a very easy way to get around Manhattan to get an overview of the sights. The only drawback was the weather was very cold and rainy which, of course, the bus company had no control over. All of the guides we had were very knowledgeable and helpful. We also did the Night Tour which took us over the Manhattan Bridge to Brooklyn and back. Enjoyable except of course for the rain.

The tour guides are amazing! Buses are on time. There are different staffs at the major stops available to help and organize the tourists. Danny from Brooklyn Loop is the B-E-S-T! He is full of humor and everyone is engaged during the whole trip. Kudos to the whole team!

What made it not great was no real fault of the bus company but the traffic is a nightmare, a trip that should take around an hour but takes 2-2 1/2 and its a long time on the trip. The guides are informative, let you know in plenty of time about stops and what is in and around that area, so that aspect was excellent. You had plastic macs given to you for the open top buses for rain on upper deck and also ear phones for 5he commentary, which worked really well. Its worth the trip for your bearings and does show you much of Manhatton.
