Had an excellent time. Tour guide was knowledgeable and did his best to be considerate of everyones needs someone in our group had bad knees. He even got down on the ground to get some great pics of us so you could see the statue in the picture. Not expected but appreciated. Well worth the money.

This trip combines the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Both are amazing historical sites to visit. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and hospitable. Ferry service to and from the 2 sites was efficient. The major downside of the trip was having to wait in the security line for about 1 hour on a very cold morning. While National Park Service, not the tour company, controls the security, it is important to point out that this did shorten the time that we had to visit the 2 sites.

Hmmm...a bit of mixed feelings on this one. Seeing the Statue of Liberty is pretty amazing, can't refute that. But going in a simply walking around is a bit anti-climatic - personally. I was unaware, that there are three types of access - 'A the Islands Liberty and Ellis B Islands and Pedestal access which includes a museum housed in the base of the statue and C crown, which is several hundred stairs up to the top of the statue. Crown access is very limited so tickets sell out very far in advance.' Now, unless you are familiar with this, I am unclear how you would learn that these are your possible options, as I would have liked to go into the crown but I didn't realised, until it was too late, that this wasn't a part of this tour - which was pretty disappointing. The museum was interesting and the same can be said for the time spent on Ellis island - but I was just a bit put out that, the differences in the tours wasn't made clear on the information page. So, nice museum tours but I would prefer further access inside the Statue of Liberty.
